Thanks for more of the SAME!

This road trip seems to serve up the same feast each and every night. While the team looks good (sort of) and plays hard, it is ending up a drumstick short of a full turkey dinner.

The difficult part of the trip is just about to start! With 2 day games (flames do not play well in the day) we must hope that the Flyers and Penguins eat too much on Thursday!

Just as Iginla picks up his game, everyone else seems to fall off. I am sure that he will continue his pace, and score 30-35 goals. Help is needed, sitting back and "letting" the captain do it alone will not work.

The Jokinen drinking game
Every time a rush or chance dies on the stick of #13, take a drink! Please do not attempt to drive home after the 1st period

This player needs to play on the 3rd or 4th line. Dump and chase seems to be the only thing he is capable of. He is a total BUZZ KILL on line 1 and 2. It may be M Backlund's turn on line 1. Moss is another option, seems to play his butt off every night.

The Calgary Tower played well last night, exactly what you need from your back up. He gave the team everything but the W. Frustrating

Up next is the PA Death Valley. Flyers and Penguins!!

So now what?

Well, the "awesome November" of last year does not appear to be on the way.
At the rate that things are going, this team may flirt with the worst record in the NHL by DEC 1st.

So now what?

The rumblings of “trade iggy” have begun, but is that really what serves this team best? A top level D Man only returned us a 2nd / 3rd line center and a 3rd line winger. That is all that remains from the Dion trade.

Daryl Sutter brought this team back from the dead. He made a great deal of moves, and many of them worked out perfect. Kiprusoff and Bourque are both great examples. However the name that will and should bring Sutter down is Olli Jokinen . It was perceived as a great deal when he brought him in. It has turned out to be a nightmare.

The coaching staff has repeated the mistakes that they promised not to. The team is unprepared, under motivated, and seemingly unable to play the system the coaches have employed.

In the end, fans media and bloggers are left to wonder, was there even a plan when B Sutter was brought in? Was he really the best coach for this team? It appears that not only has he lost the room, but more likely, he never had it.

All will be known very soon. A 5 game winning streak would solve everything, or at least put it off till January.
